Andie's Edit: Bye Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans are out, have you heard? Or at least this is the case according to Gen-Z tik tokers. While many of us will still sport our tried-and-true skinny jeans (I believe they will never truly go out of style), I want to give you some options to try that are not frowned upon by the "it girls" of the moment. After all, I am having a hard time imagining putting a pair of suffocating skinny jeans on after living in my cozy sweats all year!

  1. The Mom Jean

Isn't it ironic that the Mom Jean style is current and cool, while the skinny jean can be considered a "mom jean" at this point? The ultra high waist, and straight leg fit of a classic mom jean make for one of the most effortless denim styles. Pair them with a fitted cardigan tucked in, and a pop colored open-toe sandal for a casual feminine look.

2. The Criss Cross Straight Leg

The coolest new update to jeans is the criss-cross waistband. Agolde is the master of this style, and it will be hard to not look hip wearing these! Pair this with a boxy muscle tee and checkered vans for an edgy and effortless outfit.

3. The Full Length Jean

This straight leg style is defined by the extra-long length that is meant to be worn scrunched over your foot. Short girls who always have to hem your pants, this one's for you! I'd pair these with a pointed or square toe bootie, and an oversized button down shirt tucked in.

4. The Wide Leg Jean

I think wide leg jeans are some of the most flattering jeans, because they give legs the appearance of being skinnier and longer- especially when wearing with a heel. Try pairing these wide leg jeans with a cropped tank, cropped blazer, and these heeled sandals.

5. The Slouch Jean

Like the Boyfriend Jean, slouchy jeans are loose and comfy in all the right places. The distressing and narrower ankle are details that define this cool style. Wear with your favorite band tee and sneakers!

Next time you go to buy a new pair of skinny jeans, consider trying one of these styles instead! They may just become your new staple.

xoxo

Andie
