Many of our clients are looking for timeless, sustainable pieces that they can mix and match. Focusing on quality versus quantity. Here is a rundown of key spring / summer seasonal staple pieces. >>> Here @ Prept our stylists can curate the perfect staple to fit your style, body type, budget, and personality!
The Denim Jacket - A denim jacket is critical to a spring and summer wardrobe. Especially, during chillier nights, a denim jacket can be worn easily over dresses, skirts, and even shorts!
The White Sneaker - Nothing screams "cool girl" than a pair of white sneakers. No longer reserved for the gym, they can be worn with basically everything! Opt for platform or embellishments for something trendier - but we guarantee this staple will never go out of style. Cute and comfortable!
The White Button Down - We were torn between the white tee (another classic) and the white button down. Ended up going with the white button as it's more in between a casual yet dressy sister of the white tee and white blouse. Originally, white button down screamed uniform -- except that uniform is now our go to! We love rolling up the sleeves and tying a white button down at our waist over denim shorts or even a mini dress.
The High Waisted Swimsuit - It seems like every year, style is stepping back in time. The 60s and 70s are making a comeback in the swim arena as high waisted is the new low waisted. A great high waisted bikini allows you to wear a bikini but not feel self conscious around the stomach area. It's trendy, and with a high leg cut, can be incredibly sexy and youthful!
The Satin Camisole - Another year around classic. It can soften any outfit yet elevate it to give you that sexy, dreamy look. Can be worn casually or dressed up pending the occasion.
The Statement Mini Purse - Investing in a great handbag requires a lot of research, time and money. You don't always need something expensive to look trendy. The benefit of a staples summer wardrobe is that you can always splurge on that one item to allow your wardrobe to pop. Pop of color for accessories are so in this season, and a statement colored handbag fits the bill. A mini purse is great because it's not bulky for a night out, less expensive than larger handbags, and great for a day on the go! We love wearing them during the holidays carrying our favorite lipstick, cellphone, and credit cards.
The Jumpsuit - The jumpsuit seems to be evolving each year. You start with rompers, then wide legs jumpsuits and even skinny and culotte styles. A jumpsuit is so versatile and comes in all lengths for all seasons. During the warmer months, when opting for a longer jumpsuit -- think linen, light gauze or cotton to give your fabric room to breathe.
The T-Shirt Dress - A t-shirt dress is the go-to vacation dress. Super easy to throw one as a bathing suit cover or dress up with accessories and cute sandals. Can be worn with practically everything and truly a staple.
The White Jeans - White Jeans are the perfect staples for the summer. Can be mixed and matched for any occasion from a brunch to a boating adventure during the holidays. Skinny jeans are always in trend, but if you're looking for something different, try straight leg or flared cut. Also, petites... opt for an ankle length for skinny jeans. It elongates your legs to give you those mile long ones.
The Denim Short - Nothing is trendier than denim shorts. These days high-waisted seem popular, but you mid and low-rise are perfect as well. We love a great distressed denim in a lighter wash for the summer to wear over your favorite swimsuit or blouse!
