Hey there! Kim again! In case you missed it I shared about Beautycounter through my personal story with the company in a Part 1. Now I’m here for Part 2 to chat through my routine and absolute favorite products that I use every day (or at the very least every week) and a few of our other best sellers.

- My Daily Routine -
Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm - I call it my desert island product…basically, if I could only choose one Beautycounter product to use for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It’s multi-tasking so can be used as a makeup remover, cleanser, moisturizer, overnight hydrating mask, spot treatment for dry skin, the list goes on. Plus, it smells heavenly. It’s a balm, so isn’t applied like your traditional cleanser. It’s massaged into dry skin so it’s like a personal mini at-home spa treatment every night. Then rinse with a warm washcloth and skin feels so smooth and clean. It’s clinically proven to increase skin’s hydration. Based on a 32-subject consumer study after one week of daily use 100% said skin looked brighter and more radiant, 100% agreed it removed face and eye makeup, 100% said skin felt nourished and more hydrated, and 97% reported no greasy residue left on the skin. Yes, please, I’ll take 100 jars.
Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence - This is the 2nd step of my morning and evening routine. After cleansing my skin, this toning step helps to prep my skin to accept and absorb the rest of the products I use. It’s not a traditional toner in the sense that it further removes impurities from your skin but rather adds vital nutrients to the skin’s moisture barrier. It also has our Retinatural Complex made with Bakuchiol (nature’s retinol) and Swiss Alpine rose to help improve the skin’s antioxidant defense.
No. 2 Plumping Oil - This is the 3rd step of my morning and evening routine. This helps with skin elasticity and to firm my skin. It’s also super moisturizing, so leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. The Jasmine Floral Wax is a subtle floral, refreshing scent.
All Bright C Serum - One of our newer products, I use this Vitamin C Serum every morning as my last step before applying makeup or sunscreen. Powered by 2 ultra-stable forms of Vitamin C, Camu Camu Fruit Extract, and Turmeric Root Extract, it helps to brighten skin, improve skin tone, decrease the appearance of dark spots, and helps protect against future damage. Based on a 32-subject consumer study after 8 weeks of use 100% said skin looked brighter, 94% said it reduced the appearance of dark spots, 97% said skin looked more youthful, and 94% said skin tone looked more even. It’s light, and never leaves my skin feeling sticky. It’s been a game changer for me.
Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream - This luxuriously rich moisturizer is my last step in the evening before bedtime. It firms skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and supports skin elasticity. This the cream of the crop from our anti-aging line and my skin feels noticeably better in the morning after use. As with every product from the Countertime collection, the star ingredient in this cream is the plant derived Retinatural Complex to help me age well and embrace my mid-30s and the many years to come.
Charcoal Facial Mask - This once or twice a week mask absorbs excess oil, minimizes pore size, purifies skin, and helps to calm and smooth skin. It can also be used as a spot treatment for pesky breakouts. I love this mask. It helps to reduce congestion and draw out impurities, keeping my skin feeling fresh in just 10 minutes. Another product where the consumer study results speak for themselves. After twice weekly use, 30-subject consumer perception showed: 100% said skin felt refined and smooth, 100% said mask absorbed excess oil, 100% said skin felt detoxified and pores felt purified, and 97% said skin clarity and tone was improved. I don’t go a week without it.
Flawless in Five - Technically this is 6 products but it is the best of the best when it comes to refreshing your makeup bag and having an easy, 5-minute daily makeup routine (or less…it takes me about 2 and a half minutes start to finish.) A $190 value for $150, you get everything you need to achieve an easy, everyday makeup look.
Foundation: choose your coverage - Skin Twin (18 shades to choose from) if you want a true foundation with buildable coverage or Dew Skin (6 shades to choose from) if you want a lightweight tinted moisturizer with SPF20. Lately I have been using Dew Skin daily since I rarely leave my house (thanks, Covid) but Skin Twin is my go-to for dinners out or when I need a foundation that lasts all day.
Concealer: choose your Touchup Concealer Pen based on the auto-recommended shade or one shade lighter to achieve brighter eyes.
Brows: go with the Brow Pencil if you have sparse areas that need filling in, Brow Gel if you’re looking to keep brows in place.
Mascara: choose either a volumizing or lengthening mascara (pretty self-explanatory here, my favorite is the volumizing, but my lashes are already quite long).
Blush: choose your Satin Powder Blush based on your color preference, my favorites are the Nectar and Melon.
Lip Gloss: choose your Lip Gloss based on your personal preference, my favorites are Dahlia and Peony.
Body Oil in Citrus Rosemary - This is a great body oil, it absorbs well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. It’s been great for my bump to make sure my skin stays hydrated! My favorite way to apply is to add a few pumps into my body lotion so I get all the benefits of the botanical oils and makes the bottle last longer! Grapefruit, wild orange, and rosemary make the most delightful scent combination; refreshing, but earthy - who needs perfume when you have a body oil that smells this good.

Overnight Resurfacing Peel - Goodnight, dullness. Good morning radiance. It applies smoothly, never sticky or tacky, and is so hydrating it glides on more like a chapstick to me. There’s a wide shade range so you can be sure to find something for your skin tone. My favorite everyday neutral is the Terra. For a little bit more color, Lily is a beautiful neutral pink. If I’m feeling bold or headed out for the night, I always reach for Rose or Orchid.
