Andie's Edit: It's Almost Spring!

It's that time of year: The sun is coming out again, the weather is warming up, and we begin our transition into Spring! While it's not quite warm enough yet to jump into sun dresses and sandals, it is time to start strategically transitioning our wardrobes from Winter to Spring. I'm here to help you slowly shed those layers and find outfits that can take you seamlessly from cold days to warmer ones! Here is my take on transitional outfits for three different scenarios: Stay-at-home-cozy, daytime casual, and a night out.

Outfit #1: Keeping Cozy

Even though the world is beginning to open up again, most of us are still working from home and enjoying the comforts of not having to put on jeans. Soon it will be too warm to wear our full matching sweatsuits, so here's a warmer weather update: Knit shorts and cardigan set! Pair this outfit with your favorite white tee (mine is always my x karla tee). This layer-able set is perfect for chilly mornings that turn into sunny days: shed the cardigan, and you still have an adorable effortless t-shirt and shorts look!

Outfit #2: Daytime Casual

The secret to transitioning seasons is all in the layering. One of my favorite types of looks to go from winter to spring is an overall outfit! While the weather is still chilly, layer a mock neck sweater or long sleeve tee underneath, and pair with booties. Then, when the weather warms, change the long sleeve for a tshirt or a crop top and switch the booties for sneakers or sandals! Add a sun hat for an extra styled element. You can even wear these overalls over a bathing suit as a perfect beach coverup. I love versatility!

Outfit #3: Night Out

This is less of an outfit, and more of an item that you can build your outfit around. This long animal cardigan is a perfect transition piece because you can dress it up, wear it with a pants look, or even turn it into a mini dress of its own! For the earlier months I would pair this cardigan with a form-fitting black ribbed top and black skinny jeans, and a black pointed heel. Going into the Spring months, I would wear it over a black mini bodycon dress with either a strappy heel OR an over-the-knee boot. With either outfit, this sweater adds an edgy, cool, chic vibe to your night out look!
